Stardust: This is All of Us
Group Poem
We are all community we are all one
together, there is nothing we can’t get done.
The sweetness of connection a natural confection
Community is supposed to be like a huge hug
a big spotlight on the ones you love
I’m tired of all the fires
Coexist that’s the ‘ish I need and desire,
to fill the void inside
Forget about your title, why is it important
Life isn’t an assortment of accomplishments
Who do you see, I am a shadow
boxing to coexist,
cocreate
I am not here for me, I am here for the youth
We are here and we’ll be back to stardust just like you.
I adapted to the area I was born in
I prayed for a sunny day but the emotions were
Confusing and heavy
Like hate, a dead weight that will drown
It’s not profound, it’s simple
But love is the best of what we have
Listen, trust and let it in your heart
Once it is settled the roughness is gone.
Insight into ourselves insight into each other
We matter to one another
This is all of us.
