Fighting Youth Violence in Berks County
About Us
Not One More was established in February of 2023 with a mission to eradicate youth violence in Berks County. The program is housed on the Penn State Berks campus and is staffed by people who are living and working in Berks County. Our diverse staff includes youth ages 16-24 years, community organizers, returning citizens (previously incarcerated), and scholars from various socio-demographic backgrounds. Our initial program is our Youth Violence Intervention and Prevention Program.
Our Vision
To foster shared responsibility for creating a county that is safe for all residents to grow, learn, work, create, and thrive.
Our Mission
Our mission is to mobilize Berks County’s material and human resources in service of residents’ physical and socio-emotional health. Our goal is to eradicate physical and symbolic violence through education, prioritizing human needs, mediation, storytelling, the arts, and collaboration among local businesses, organizations, and agencies. Youth ages 14-24 years are at the center of our mission.
Together, we can create a Berks County where violence is no more.
