Gathering Love
Group Poem
Invite them to the lunch table.
Smile and shake their hand.
Show them kindness. Say, “Hello.”
Try to understand.
Include them in conversation.
Share feelings with others.
Keep an open mind.
Help them love one another.
Think back when I was young,
To my 3rd grade self.
Reassure them it’s okay,
When they had no one else.
Give them hugs. Open up.
Offer them a seat.
Thank them. Welcome them.
Inclusion is neat.
Tell them how happy we are to meet.
