Where the light dies

It gets muddy where I come from
Muddy from pain & poverty
Im muddy so I look different

Growing roots absorbing

& not just w sorrows
but also with love being felt in your voice
but also with hate because I need balance & I need to relate So rain on me
Because when there is water there is life
& there’s life in me
